Here is a short video I created on a simple improvement I was able to make to the Smart Code Insight in Delphi 12, which reduces some of its limitations. It currently only works for OpenAI’s api, but wouldn’t be to hard to make it work on the other API’s as well. Of course the best way would be for this change be integrated into the IDE itself @ianbarker.
There are definitely things going on at Embarcadero to tweak the existing Smart Code Completion and improve it, along with adding new functionality. I hope it came across this week that Idera as a company are fully grabbing AI with both hands and that there is a whole flurry of activity going on both internally within the company, and externally too in lots of different directions.
At the speed things are going with AI I think the next 12 to 18 months is going to be a wild ride. I’m all for it.
@ianbarker I would suggest there should be a sort of auto-scrapbook kept of the info returned from AI queries that go to the markdown window. I believe they just get lost atm (??)
On the Claude web/desktop app, the series of conversations are retained.
I’ve been using my Obsidian vault to keep good info … because it works really well with the markdown format.
