[OFF TOPIC] but definitely Vintage
Good news indeed!
We can now freely discuss the merits or otherwise of John O’Grady’s poem “Integrated Adjective” featuring that great Australian adjective. The reference is to the original source because it is so often (usually) mis-transcribed.
The Digital VAX/VMS operating system had a list of naughty words used to prevent users from changing their passwords to profanities. One time I went through the VMS OS microfilm to find the list. There were the usual ones, but the majority of naughty words were Hispanic in origin. Makes you wonder how many offensive words there are by accumulating them from all languages both current and ancient. That would become a major undertaking for a researcher but what benefit does such an undertaking yield?
Colin,
Did you mean, who gives a f@#$? (I would be explicit, as anyone who has been at school in Australia for a week has heard it all before, but ADUG has some sensitive souls I am loth to distress!)
Chester.
Aren’t both those links the same? FWIW The Interface Hall Of Shame is one of my favorite sites - I shared it last week on some slides about user interface design.
(Also, the link generates a Trojan warning from MalwareBytes - probably a false positive, but be careful, just in case).
No, if MalwareBytes says it’s compromised then it’s because the site has been reported as being compromised. It doesn’t show any messages for HTTP sites, just Edge does that.
