ADUG Melbourne April Meeting 2025

Monday 21st April 2025 (Easter)

This will be a Planning meeting, on Zoom only.
With luck and availability, The Zoom link (and some attendees) will be here on Monday.
6:00pm (ish)

I think we need more punters to provide presentations (and/or propose potential presentations).
If you have something you want to ideally present, (or have presented) feel free to reply to this post or PM me or discuss it on Monday.

Some Options/Places to look for presentations.

Newer OpenSSL connectivity mentioned by Geoff.
This should be a priority for everyone currently using older OpenSSL versions

Demos of Symposium prizes:
Visuino would be good. I need need to play with arduino…

Beyond compare
This looks good as an outline of what it can do.

Mitov runtime
What is there in this library, what can you do with it.
(I have looked briefly, some overlap with Spring4d perhaps)

Pascal Analyzer

SMExport

Other Possibilities

Delphi AST
Where and how might you use this.
Can it do anything with DFM files?

Kastri
Seems mostly mobile oriented, but apparently has some VCL extensions.

Spring4D
Likely Plenty more stuff here.
More iterators
Have not event approached the Dependency Container stuff.

Lazarus/FreePascal
What to do here, perhaps installing on linux.
Making delphi like apps on linux could be good.

What is happening with Ultibo (FPC on bare metal)

Grahame Grieve will hopefully soon make a short presentation on QR Codes.
We presumably all like them (QR Codes)
Does anyone have anything else they would like Grahame to present on?

Reading QR Codes using the webcam.

Grijjy
Perhaps should get them as symposium sponsor, (symposium presentation?)
grijjy (Grijjy) · GitHub
Should look at their logging product (free/open source, except maybe receiver?)

They also seem to have a bunch of other interesting things via their github site.
http/2 sockets?

Elevate web builder (runs on linux apparently, maybe not well tested)
