I am very stupid, so I may be wrong but…
When you say, “the area of a 2m circle” do you mean “a circle with a 2m diameter”?
In which case the area is ~3.14 square meters. 2m would be a radius of 1m (half the diameter) - so using Pi R squared (everyone’s favorite formula) it would be Pi x 1.
Area = πr2 = π·12≈3.14159

That’s a reasonable question, @ianbarker . I didn’t mention it specifically says a radius of 2.
