I am using Claude Desktop, and when multi-tasking I open another session in the browser.
Claude is using the phrase cowork - what does this mean ? I cant run two instances - well is there a way to run two instances of Claude Desktop?
I haven’t used the cowork section… but that is more designed for non-programmers to automate tasks.
I use multiple console sessions usually, some running on my laptop as well as some running on another machine. I then use the /remote-control command which allows controlling from phone/web browser or the windows app. I believe though you should just need to create a new claude code session and configure it. You can then switch between them by clicking on the relevant project on the left hand side of the screen.

Claude Desktop - Make sure you use Code, not Chat, then start one session, then just click New up top left, and start another, and another… no need to go to the browser
