Delphi 13 contract writing iOS App(s)

I have been writing a suite for a small airline company using TMS Webcore and Delphi 12. I have a REST server and a WebApp for desktop use.

It has taken me a little longer than anticipated, and I would like to see the Client come up to speed soon, so I am looking for someone to write one or more iOS Apps

  • I had tried a PWA, but we need notifications, so I had to abandon that
  • Most staff members are using iPhones, some may be on Android.
  • We may need more than one App (not sure yet)
  • The main one is for pilots to use in the cockpit.
  • It needs non-standard colours and big buttons
  • This one is a tasking App and goes through a flow diagram
  • Most screens have 3 buttons, some 2, some may have 4.
  • Some screens will have data entry
  • I have already had the client draw up extensive flowcharts to document what is required.
  • On the aircraft, they will have iPads.
  • It needs to talk to the REST server for the backend.
  • It needs to work with loss of comms for when they are actually flying.
  • I don’t yet have Apple developer Registration yet as Apple refused to accept my International cards
  • It was a mission to get an Aussie credit card, so I could apply for that now.
  • My intention was to get the client to apply for an Enterprise registration
  • All IP will belong to the client, except for general purpose and 3rd party libraries
  • You could either bill the client directly or go via my company.
  • If you chose to go via me, you will have to bill me from a company. As I don’t want to do PAYG and super.
  • There is a question of warranty. If my company is taking that on, then I will take a 20% cut.
  • I have a vested interest in this in the sense that I regard the Operational Manager as family. So, I will be in the loop.

The Company

  • I can’t name it due to commercial sensitivity
  • They are in North NSW
  • I am in Brisbane
  • We may need to make one trip together, the rest will be fine via Zoom.
  • They have a number of aircraft - planes, choppers, war birds and a jet
  • They do anything that these crafts will do - hunting, movies, aerial dressing, joyrides, fire-fighting etc
