I just installed Delphi 13, and when I attempt to start it, I get “Access violation at address 64DFB955 in module ‘coreide370.bpl’ (offset 18055). Read of address 00000014.”
Any ideas?

Were any other libraries or experts installed before you started Delphi 13 for the first time?
No, I just installed D13 and tried running it for the first time.
Anything unusual at all about the install options selected? Installing to a different directory, drive, network?
No, I accepted all the defaults.
Windows only, not iOS or Android.
Does it still seem to start, and run, normally? (after the message)
I was getting that with a version of 12 (I think) for a similarly named bpl … but I didn’t see anything that was obviously not working while it was running.
Unfortunately, no. Just closes down completely.
Did you solve it? I have just installed D13. Mine is doing the same, endless errors about libraries that coreide cant find, and whether to load them again. I suspect it has to do something to do with the migration tool - settings.
Reading the error carefully, its trying to load all the D12 packages. So its definitely the migration tool.
Had to say NO 74 times. ![]()
Restarted
Say no another 10 times
Restarted
One more time.
Restarted
All good…..
Now I get two exceptions every time I start up. However, after that I can still use it.
I can confirm the same, ie it’s because you ran the migration tool with all the options selected.
→ select (carefully) only the options you want to be copied from old to new IDE.
