Embarcadero Conference 2026 (Brazil)

Another year, another Embarcadero Conference: Delphi is a giant!

Let’s start by explaining that statement. It has been around for 31 years—at least 22 of which have been spent weathering rumors of its “death,” prejudice, and various other disparaging remarks. Throughout this period, it has undergone a change in ownership and made a massive effort to remain contemporary and innovative. This is reflected in the major projects that still use the technology today—modernizing and staying current, competitive, and prosperous thanks to the speed and performance the tool delivers. Add to this a community that—despite adverse weather and public transport disruptions—managed to pack the Amcham-Brazil venue in São Paulo with attendees from all corners of the country. They gathered for a full day of exchanging knowledge and experiences aimed at maintaining a technological edge for years to come.

With that said, the Embarcadero Conference—already traditionally recognized as the world’s largest event for Delphi developers—drew over 600 attendees. This time, the event featured five simultaneous stages hosting presentations on various tech topics revolving around development, such as Best Practices, Backend, APIs, Cloud, Modernization, Databases, and—of course—Artificial Intelligence and Innovation. Beyond the five main stage tracks, the event included a special track focused on the practical application of DevOps culture. Promoted by DevTrends and organized by Wesley Ribeiro, this track offered a more intimate setting where participants could interact directly with presenters to get answers about implementing these practices in their daily work.

Speakers with extensive technical backgrounds mingled openly with attendees throughout the event, sharing not only the knowledge presented on stage but also personal experiences regarding coding and life.

Among the event’s many presentations, the keynote lived up to the high expectations. During the event, Embarcadero Technologies Developer Advocate Ian Barker presented new features coming to the next version of RAD Studio (Delphi and C++ Builder). A launch date has already been set, and you can register via the RAD Studio 13.2 Launch Webinar link; the event is scheduled for September 22, 2026. Returning to the keynote: Ian discussed new compilers with significantly optimized performance, as well as new features and components. However, he didn’t limit himself to technical details. The leader of Embarcadero’s MVP program took the opportunity to praise the Brazilian community and the work of Brazil’s MVPs, reinforcing this recognition by naming two new Embarcadero MVPs to the team: Gabriel Baltazar and Leonardo Ercolin Filho.

The Embarcadero Conference also served as an opportunity to introduce the Brazilian community to Ben Schwenk, General Manager of Embarcadero and Idera, Inc. I am certain he liked what he saw! Ben even spoke briefly with Alex Mauricio da Silva, who was representing the Big Tech Partnerships division of CPS (Centro Paula Souza).
