Lost all history

While using Claude Desktop, all of a sudden it wanted me to log in.

I couldnt recall if I had used Google to sign in. So I did. The history , projects etc weren’t there.

I closed and logged in using email - still not there.

Back to Google - still not there.

Everything is still there in the mobile app and browser. All three are using the same email address.

I suspect it may still be that one is logged in with email and verification and the other via Google.

Claude is an idiot on this. It tells me to use the browser until its automagically resolved

Any ideas anyone

Smack head on desk.

It was on Claude Code mode. which I havent used. Why is it so subtle.

When I compared the settings, I knew I was in the right account. But I could not see chats or projects.

I then pressed on very icon in turn. Why couldn’t the Automatic Idiot tell me this?

Last time I tried Claude Desktop is seemed unfinished/beta.
I am still in the console. I let the desktop “cook” a bit more. But I hardly wait to use its GUI when done.

It is complete, they keep adding more features. The UI could do with a lot of improvement.

What I would like most is a chronologically listed chats/cowork (across projects). I am often working on 3 different projects, and I have to search the last session in each, when I want to switch - which is often.

I am impressed that a Claude Code terminal session can communicate with a Claude desktop session. This makes the transition between terminal and desktop easier.

On the other hand, the Claude desktop wastes so much screen space. You can see much more text in the terminal.
