I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I registered an EDN account with nico***@outlook.com and downloaded RAD Studio 13 Community Edition, but I never received the serial number / license key email, so I can’t get past the activation step and continue the installation.
What I’ve done so far
Registered a new EDN account (nicosmitha@outlook.com).
Downloaded and started installing RAD Studio 13 Community Edition.
Waited for the license key email — checked Inbox, Junk/Spam, and Promotions/other folders. Nothing arrived.
Logged in to my EDN account and checked Registered Products / My Licenses: it shows no registered software and no license key at all.
Asked in the community first; people there suggested contacting Embarcadero Support directly. I’ve opened a Registration/Licensing case (Case #01327318), but I’d also like to check here in case anyone has hit the same thing.
Environment / License Manager details
OS: Windows
Product: Delphi / RAD Studio 13 Community Edition (Studio\37.0)
License Registration Code (System Registration Key): 6697267
Node Lock: SLY0UQVUXN0W48J
My questions
Is the serial number for the Community Edition normally emailed automatically, or does it have to be generated manually on the EDN site?
Has anyone seen ProductId:-1 - SkuId:-1 in the License Manager log before? Does it indicate the installer never linked to my EDN account?
Is there a known delay with the licensing email (e.g. anti-spam / domain blocking for outlook.com addresses)?
Is there any way to retrieve the Community Edition key directly from the EDN account instead of waiting for the email?
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated — I’m completely blocked at the activation step. Thanks in advance!
Did you give an alternative email in the licensing case, in case outlook.com has problems?
This is a good suggestion - outlook etc often blocks email and the recipient is none the wiser - we see this all the time, customer purchases and then we spend weeks trying to get in contact with them - I usually end up using my gmail account and hope that doesn’t get spam binned.
When I look up that email address, I do see that you registered an EDN account but I don’t see any registration history.
Do you have another EDN account under a different email address?
If you still can’t get it working, I can talk to one of my colleagues and try to find out what went wrong.
You should also be able to try requesting the serial number again since you’ve not registered it yet.
