Not really… you generally don’t add a mx record for a subdomain - mail should come from adug.org.au not www.adug.org.au or forums.adug.org.au

OK. Learnt something new.

Looking at the Discourse forum, using the reply key selects the right topic for the email, and works with reply list options. If we take out the reply key setting, we would expect to get some new topics created from replies that then need to be manually combined, as well as allowing impersonation.

So there isn’t anything we can do except suggest GMail users set Reply All.

Or get them to use Discourse directly :wink:

That’s about it. I did think of setting the sender email to forums@adug.org.au but that would also result in people creating new topics instead of replies - so imho the noreply@ address is best left there as it serves as an indicator that
